A Busy Time, Indeed
It’s a very busy time here at Rand Marketing.
Abi’s Place
Abi’s Place Open House is on Tuesday, November 17 at 6:30PM. Abi’s Place is at 1710 North University Drive, Coral Springs, Florida 33071.
This is a wonderful cause that Rand Marketing is proud to help support. Their open house is to bring more awareness to the community. It is hoped that some of the attendees will find ways to generate awareness of Abi’s Place in the community, volunteer their time, make a donation, or even apply to participate with a committee or task force.
Rebuilding Together Broward
Since 2003, Rebuilding Together Broward County has been one of more than 200 affiliates serving 955 cities and towns across the nation. Rebuilding Together Broward strives to preserve and revitalize houses and communities, assuring that low-income homeowners, particularly those who are elderly, disabled and veterans, live in comfort, safety and independence. Their goal is to make a sustainable impact in partnership with communities.
There are a number of noteworthy events throughout the year, including the upcoming “Mash Bash 2015” on Wednesday, November 11 for the first military-themed fundraiser with proceeds benefitting their Veteran Housing Initiative.
While Rebuilding Together Broward County assists needy home-owners year-round, they also organize the “National Rebuilding Day” event, which is usually held on the last Saturday in April. Volunteers, sponsors, private sector, municipal agencies, civic organizations and many others get together to refurbish homes and non-profit facilities in the community. Volunteers give of their time, talents, materials, services and others provide in-kind and financial donations to improve the lives of neighbors in need.
Small Business Saturday
Rand Marketing is pleased to actively support Small Business Saturday, a shopping holiday held on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. First observed on November 27, 2010, it is an alternative to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which feature big box retail and e-commerce stores. Small Business Saturday encourages holiday shoppers to patronize brick and mortar businesses that are small and local. (Small Business Saturday is a registered trademark of American Express corporation.)
Breast Cancer Awareness (October)
Last month, we observed Breast Cancer Awareness with our office décor accentuating pink. As part of the annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease, the National Breast Cancer Foundation promotes planning to detect the disease in its early stages and to raise funds for research. Rand Marketing was pleased to make a donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. With an executive management commitment to promote awareness, and a proactive and responsive staff, we were very gratified to have a successful month for this important effort.
Purple November
Pancreatic Cancer Awareness is very important important and the #EndPC campaign is a very worthy movement to promote awareness and raise funds. Pancreatic cancer awareness promotes the fact that it is the 4th leading cancer cause of death. Unfortunately, pancreatic cancer has a 5-year survival rate of only 5.1% and of the leading causes of cancer death, it is the least funded and deadliest.
Epilepsy Awareness
Nearly 3 million people in the U.S. are living with epilepsy. Rand Marketing is joining the national campaign, raising awareness that people with epilepsy should know all their treatment and therapy options as they work to become seizure-free. This November, we will participate in the talk about how to #DareTo Go the Distance toward a seizure free life with no side effects.
Alzheimer’s Awareness – Caregiver Support Month to #EndALZ
This dreaded disease is devastating emotionally, physically and financially for over 5 million people in the United States.
National Alzheimer’s Disease and Awareness Month (NADAM) and Family Caregivers Month® in November is a worthy campaign that Rand Marketing is pleased to recognize and promote. During the month of November, Rand Marketing joins many others to share information on the new and best resources, and we work to help raise awareness of Alzheimer’s as we honor the millions of caregivers who are helping the afflicted.
