Sound familiar?
Google renamed AdWords to Google Ads in 2018, but the job is the same: show up when someone searches for what you sell, and pay only when they click. What has changed is how much of the account Google now automates. Smart bidding and broad matching can spend a budget fast on searches you would never choose. Good PPC management in Fort Lauderdale today is less about pushing buttons and more about steering that automation with clean tracking, tight targeting and weekly review.
South Florida makes this harder. Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach run together, so a Fort Lauderdale business often competes with companies from Miami to Boca Raton for the same searches. Clicks in competitive categories like legal, home services and medical can be expensive, which makes every wasted click matter more. And many South Florida buyers call rather than fill in a form, so call tracking is not optional here: without it, you can’t tell which campaigns are working.
New campaigns get more attention than that: in the first weeks we are in the account more often, because that is when you learn the most about what your money is buying.
Ask to see a sample report. If it leads with impressions and click-through rate, keep asking. The numbers that matter are cost per lead, how many leads became customers, and what the agency changed because of them. Ask who owns the account (it should be you), how often someone works in it, and whether the management fee is separate from your ad spend. Then ask what they would change first in your account. A good agency can usually tell you after one look at the search terms report.
